there was no permit for this project. this also gives the castro club more time to add issues to their project. mike from the castro club are here to speak for the castro club. we've been met with respect for the whole project. for a second i'd like to talk about the actions and reacts. and these are the objections. one was about odor. we're going to run a shaft up on the roof and take the process to get rid of the odor. and another one was the noise. if you all think there shouldn't be a setback in the rear of the building but we'd like to do a sound study and submit it to the planning department to maintain the sound level at whatever the staff or commission feels important. i think the aren't patrons are going to have to keep their goods within the boundaries of the allowed space. and rear yard use and volume we'll address these issues. and staff has asked us to maintain a distance from the neighbors. and i know you were all paying attention to what tom said. and the area does not really effect the neighborhood and the rest of it is for the area above. the stairwell we're going taking out is goin

. good morning, delia. >> reporter: hey, mike. good morning, andrea. the snow is falling here in suitland. i'm in my car because the biggest challenge that you will face likely this morning is driving on these snowy side streets. many ever the main roads we've been running into, those look good but the side streets still lots of snow. so this is where you're going to find a lot of problems. the snow is really light at this point. light and fluffy snow but it's really causing a lot of trouble on the side streets. it can be very, very slick. stopping is a problem. so either drive in a low gear or just very slowly. also another word of advice, brush off the snow off your car. the snow is so light i can literally brush it off with my hand. aaa said a lot of the hazards on the road are caused by drivers who don't brush off the snow creating some hazards for the drivers behind them. and that causes some visibility issues of course. so you have to take care of that as well. make sure you have good tread on your tires. i know monika just had a great little spot segment with someone talking about

readings falling to 30 degrees below. guess where we find our friend mike tobin? he is in chicago are but it feels like 7 below right now. we're hearing about a warehouse fire there. turns out that was quite a sight, mike. >> reporter: it made quite a sight. the bad news that warehouse fire backed up this morning, 50 firefighters had to get out in bitter cold to spray water back on top of this structure which has become an "ice castle". they need so much water, the firefighters are bringing out a special deluge unit to the warehouse fire to give them ability to dump water on it. that creates a problem. that is old warehouse. the highs gets really heavy. the structure is in danger of collapse. when you get the giant fiv five-alarm fires, an old firefighter buddy called that a surround and drown. you don't have the guys inside of the structure because it at risk of collapse. the windchill brings temperatures down to 25 below. it is drawing tremendous resources. the way one of the firefighters put it i hope there is not another fire because you have so much in the way of resources in

many of the country facing frigid temperatures. mike to be inch is out braving the cold for us in chicago. i guess the firefighters are as well, right, mike? >> reporter: they certainly are. there is this remarkable choir in chicago that has turned into an ice castle because of all the water that the fire fighters have sprayed on this giant warehouse that burst into flames. the bad news is that fire won't go out. it rekindled overnight. the firefighters had to get out in the bitter cold of this morning and continue to spray water despite all the ice that accumulates on their ladder trucks and things of that nature. they brought out something now called a deluge pump so they can dump even more water on top of it and that's creating its own problem. this is an old warehouse, the ice is heavy, there is risk of the collapse of that structure. the good news is with five alarm fires you won't necessarily have guys inside. it is dangerous and it's throwing a lot of resources for the chicago firefighters, jon. jon: the rest of the country, how is everybody doing? >> reporter: it is so
